Research Scientist
Dr. Ouyang is a Research Scientist in the Department of Radiology at CHOP. She received her bachelor’s from Tsinghua University, China in Biomedical Engineering and completed her Ph.D. studies from UT System, with a research a focus on neonatal and pediatric neuroimaging. Dr. Ouyang is a Junior Fellow of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM), considered as next-generation leader in MR research. Dr. Ouyang has in-depth background in MRI physics, and experiences in optimizing MR neuroimaging protocols in pediatric population, especially for diffusion and perfusion MRI acquisition. Her research has focused on both development of cutting-edge imaging and processing techniques as well as transitioning existing techniques into clinical practice to study the brain structure, function and connectivity in neonatal and pediatric populations in health and neurological/psychiatric disorders. Dr. Ouyang also serves as a reviewer for JAMA, NeuroImage, NeuroImage: Clinical, Brain Connectivity, Psychiatry Research: Neuroimaging, PLOS One and ISMRM abstracts.
